philippinesball 8 years ago Yes, they do come from India but Romania in the Countryball world has the stereotype of being mistaken as a Gypsy because of its high number of Gypsy population and also often mistaken: Romani = Romanian.

As for Lapu Lapu possibly having gypsy heritage it's still unknown but in my assumption is that Lapu Lapu is purely Austronesian with Islam heritage or traditions (not quiet sure if he's a gypsy, because a lot of traders not only Indians had been in the Philippines first as traders than the Europeans) and as for the Filipinos, well I can say that some of us can have gypsy heritage, or maybe even mixtures of many since the Philippines is a melting pot of races (Indians, Chinese, Spanish, etc.) even before18 likes Reply

If so you're offended, maybe Polandball isn't made for you since Polandball/Countryballs pokes at national stereotypes and not only Romania's and it's kinda like tradition now especially on reddit where majority of these comics came from. Do you know that USA is a fat and geographically-challenged-anti-commie-freedom-giving character? I don't see anyone complaining about that in polandball reddit 'cos they know its just a stereotype and stereotypes are just a thing to be laughed at and not taken seriously especially since not all stereotypes are true.

the US, so that would be similar. This is not a national stereotype, a
national stereotype is Romanians being vampires, picking fruit in the

mayernaise 8 years ago Maybe you're taking things too literally. Despite their differences they still consider themselves as "family" because of their long history together. It's not the literal "family" since both of them are from separate linguistic and genetic families but it's more of a formed by close friendship type like how most people these days consider their best friends as a part of their family. They even have a Hungarian-Polish Friendship Day to commemorate their historical brotherhood and camaraderie. So yes they are family to themselves but not the literal kind.27 likes Reply

You also have to consider the fact that not all germans were agreeing with Hitler's politics during the 3rd reich (I'm pretty the guy did shout the whole "let's kill jews" thing at everyone's face during the elections) and most of the ones that did agree with him, where young adults that had been brainwashed by nazi propaganda for years. Zathukoslaviaball 8 years ago On a side note, back then, Poland demanded for 1/4th of land from East Germany. And, Germany paid like about a total of $700 Billion for war reparations, probably a lot more than any other country that Germany has ever paid to for war reparations. So, I agree with you to some extent that Germans don't need to pay. Although, I could be wrong about this as well.

My problem is the fact that they put this on the table now when it's been more than 70 years already! Nowadays germans have nothing to do with what happened to Poland during WW2. Yes it was horrible, but Germany already paid for it. I was astonished to discover that for 50 years, Germany had to pay for highways' lighting in Belgium in "reparation for the war", and I still am. It's disgusting to put the blame and make people pay for something they weren't even born when happened. Where do you think Germany finds the money to pay for all these "reparations"? Through taxes their population pays. This is what I find unfair. Wouldn't it annoy you to have the money you worked hard to earn being taken away from you for something you didn't even do?35 likes Reply
