  • 3 years ago I was talking about El Salvador. The first reason why the whole war started is because of the so called "Banana Republics" thing. The Hondurans accused the Salvadorans of stealing all the fertile soil. The Hondurans started kicking the Salvadorans out for no reason at all. They suddenly became outlawed in Honduras. You could imagine the many generations of Salvadorans in Honduras being kicked out for *cough* "hogging the bananas" *cough*. which they didn't do! The Americans were hogging all the bananas. This all escalated when the 1970 Mexico Cup happened. When the Salvadoran Team was in Tegucigalpa people threw rocks at their hotel. The Salvadoran team didn't win that play. Also, when the Honduran Team was in San Salvador, they did the same thing and, in the game, instead of the Honduran Flag, they used a dirty rag, my people really do have a sense of humor.
